GED and HiSET are the processes of earning your high school diploma equivalent, a G​ED certificate, or a state-issued high school equivalency credential ( HiSET). You must pass the GED or Hi SET Test offered by GED or HiSET Testing Service Centers for validity. Turner-Provost Institute is not a testing center, and we no longer provide GED classes; we only offer preparatory courses to pass the GED  coursework( These are not the same as State mandatory GED classes), GED exams, ESL, and literacy classes. Once students have completed all prep assignments, their instructor will advise them to take the next step to register for a GED preparation program of their choice and eventually take the final GED exam. In Texas, students 18 and older are NOT required to enroll in an adult education program (GED Program) to take the HiSET, but it is encouraged. Interested individuals can register with Tuner-Provost Institue to begin tutoring for the final HiSET.  Although the HiSET is no longer offered in Texas, interested individuals can still prepare with Turner-Provost Institute to take the test at home or travel to Louisiana to take the HiSET Exam face-to-face.
